Fabric Pr Press Day Part 2

As promised part two of Fabric Pr's awesome press day, this time its the boys turn. As previously mentioned in Part One there were some amazing menswear shown at the event. So let's start with AMHOVELLE,

this edge menswear company had a great selection of pieces on display ranging from t-shirts, shirts and sweatshirts there was something for every man's style. Similar to some of the womenswear on display this collection had a futuristic feel but this time with a military twist too.

As you can see for yourself this is something special, boys make sure you check this company out you won't regret it!

Now to a more tailored and dapper look, for this I move onto the brand Atelier Scotch, all the way from Amsterdam this company had something else going!

Just look at all those textures and colours. I fell in love with this collection, I even was eyeing up a few pieces for myself, yes I know it's menswear but there were just some great jackets! In particular a green velvet jacket caught my attention, I may have to introduce my other half to this brand he would love it too, convenient if I can steal his jackets! Impeccable tailoring in wondrous and luxurious fabrics is what springs to mind when you mention Atelier Scotch, wouldn't you say. I look forward to seeing more of this brands work in collections to come!

Fabric Pr Press Day Part 1

Yesterday I spent the afternoon and early evening with the wonderful people who make up Fabric Pr at their press day at The Doll's House. 

This awesome venue was host to some great company and brands, with a mix or menswear, womenswear, accessories and footwear there was something for everyone's tastes. Have a look for yourself . . .

Showcasing Autumn / Winter 2014 collections from these great companies:  Aigle, Aigle x Nigel Cabourn, Atelier Scotch, Cinderela B, Cro'Jack, Denim Is Everything, Duck & Cover, Edmund Hilary, Elvine, FYT & CO, Gabicci Vintage, G-Lab, JQ Jeans, Lochcarron, Monta Heritage, New Accessories Group, Palladium, Palladium x Alpha Industries, Peter Scott, Prey of London, SOS Jeans, Thomas Royall, and Villain. So as you can see a great mix of talent was on show. Some of my favourite pieces were from an amazing jewellery designer called Cinderela B, while speaking to the lovely Holly at Fabric Pr who filled me in on this designer I leaned that she makes all of her pieces in London in her little workshop with the help of her busy bees who hand make everything. This will be a company that I will be looking at with great interest. Have a look at some of her amazing pieces coming up for Autumn  / Winter.

I am absolutely in love with the bee bracelet and bee earrings, they are fun, fabulous and elegant. The print wrap bracelets are also so lovely and feminine, finished off with a gold charm and fastened with a buckle. This brand really does have stunning pieces for every kind of girl. I can't wait to see what else this designer comes up with!

Next we have Prey of London, how amazing are these pieces below!! Edgy fashion at its best, velvet pieces, embellishment, metallics, futuristic trims and leather jackets. This design team create dramatic fashion pieces you are bound to get noticed and attract great attention. Personally I would love any of these pieces they would be a great investment for any fashionista.

While moving up the many floors that make up the Doll's House, more fabulous brands came into sight. In part two I will show you some amazing menswear brands. For now I will continue to talk about the more girly side of the event. 

Upstairs I was treated to a drink, which was truly appreciated thank you Fabric PR, cool and refreshing, it even looks inviting in the picture.

While enjoying my refreshment I waited in line at the nail bar to have my nails done by the lovely Jessica Glossin. Check out my instagram to see the finished nails, they are awesome even if I do say so myself, also check out Jessica's instagram account.

After getting my nails done I continued to look around at the pieces on display and ended up of the roof terrace in glorious sunshine looking at some great swimwear pieces. On my way back down I discovered more rooms full of fashion and footwear. Which I will elaborate more on in my next entry as I am aware that this is already very long. 

Finally I finished off this press event by chatting to the lovely Bethany from Fabric Pr who gave me a goody bag, as well as having a lovely chat. The goody bag is to be revealed later . . .

Wednesday Want

Another jewellery company has been brought to my attention recently this time by my friends at Grabble, what's is the name of this company I hear you say?? Its 'The Lost Lanes' who have a great range of products and pieces, and it is from this company that I found this week's Wednesday Want!

It's these wonderful rings which were inspired and designed from a cast of a moss covered branch of a pear tree. Hand crafted in London, this piece is worth the price tag it comes in gold or silver, come on support your own design talent!!

Icon - Peaches Geldof

So this lady was on my list of style icons and due to tragic recent events it only seems right to move her to this week. Who am I talking about? The crazy, wonderful, and vivacious Peaches Geldof, who tragically died in the early hours of 7th April 2014. 

Now this lady had a crazy childhood, and was struck by the loss of her mother at a young age. She blamed not being able to get over her mothers overdose on her own partying ways all the way through her teenage years. She was the kooky, indie party girl on the British scene, and yes when I was younger I did find her constant search for attention to be annoying, but as she entered her twenties she mellowed out and she thanked her husband and her two children for finally finding herself. Always opinionated she spoke passionately about her two boys and they was she had chosen to raise them. There can be no doubt in anybodies mind that this lady adored her children, they could not have been more loved. In her children she found a purpose, it is a real tragedy that she was not able to continue growing with her children.

Her unique style of rock and roll vintage, indie chic and sixties flair changed as she matured into vintage glamour. She really did come into her own in her Twenties it is a tragedy that she died at the age of 25, I think this lady would have continued to go far in the fashion stakes. I love the mix of pieces and styles that she wore and that she matched together to create her own very personal look. She really was something and it is a great shame that she was taken so young. Thoughts are with her family and friends, especially her two children, who will sadly grow up without their devoted mother. To this fashion icon!

Kate Moss for Topshop

So the Icon that is Kate Moss has returned to her designer seat at Topshop for a brand new collection, I'm sure you already know this but have you seen the pieces yet? Photographs of both Kate Moss modelling looks and individual pieces have been released online, lets have a look at them below . . .

These moody shots are what we come to expect from the brilliance that is Kate Moss. This new collection is very rock and roll meets boho, but with a bit more edge. Of course the above is just a few looks, I'll show you my top four pieces from this collection.

I really love these four pieces as they are a great mix of glam, elegance and rock. I love number 1 especially as it is just so great, prices are not known yet for any of this collection but this would be quite the party piece. Number two is a dress I would wear everyday, its simple but with an unusual detailing in what I can assume to be faux leather. This is a wonderful dress for the more edgy girl pair with boots and you are away. In third position we have this leather boho jacket, perfect for festival season with the great fringing detail. I love this jacket as it is cropped but the fringing detail continues to a more convenient length. Finally number four we have this wonderful white / cream dress this is such an elegant choice and so nice to see in this collection, simple but stunning perfect for a evening event.
