Red Hot . . .

Red, the colour of a moment, whether its a bright shade or a darker one as long as it's red you are ok!
For this trend think head to toe red, it's no good just wearing statement accessories in this daring colour, you have to commit to it. Think fearless ladies, release your inner imp!

Now of course there is a lot of red items around for you at the moment but I have found you the best bits from the Zara, bonus is they are all in the sale!

For Individual Prices Click Here

So as you can see there are some really great pieces here, from shoes to coats there is something for every girl to update her wardrobe. Remember they are also all in the sale so you have no excuse! My top three picks from the above mix would have to be this dress . . .

I love the feminine frill detail across the front of this dress. The elegant embellished straps also make this a brilliant holiday dress as you could wear it for both day and night and it would still look incredible.
Next in my top three is these wonderful shoes . . .

How can you not love these shoes, just look at the workmanship and design that has gone into them, and they are now in the sale, you and I will both be silly if we don't buy them now!
These shoes look extremely expensive, I have seen them in store and they look so much more impressive in real life than in this image. Buy them now or regret it later!
Finally number for number three we have this elegant, yet modern coat . . .

With subtle gathering detail on the shoulders, this red coat is very modern and chic. I think that the red makes the design all the more impressive and attention grabbing. At £47 in the sale this is a piece not to be overlooked, this is a piece that can be worn again and again as red does always make a comeback every season or so, also its a great way to add a bit of colour to your workwear and daily commute!

So be a bit daring this summer and try this trend, I understand maybe not if you have sunburn and resemble something like a tomato, I've done this myself don't worry.
Remember it shows off your tan to it's best so another reason to love it!

Dare to wear all red, you won't regret it!

Sunday Splurge . . .

Another Sunday, another Sunday Splurge this week we have a little something from an online marketplace that I love called the Lost Lanes.

Now this statement necklace is made from leather loops which are clustered together to create this wonderful texture. I love the way the leather pieces just fall naturally into this cluster. Designed and made by the designer Sarto J, this piece is something special and truly worthy of today's Sunday Splurge spot.

What do you think?

Friday Fav's . . .

Sorry it's been a while guys, my apologies its been a bit hectic at work.
I'm back with my Friday favourites list, hope you love these five pieces as much as me . . .

For Individual Prices Click Here
Starting us off at number 1 we have this amazing statement necklace from New Look, I love the exoticness that this necklace gives off, it also looks very expensive! Number 2 we have another statement piece of sorts this coat cut from a gorgeous green jacquard weave, with a slight sheen to it, you wouldn't believe that this piece comes from H&M would you. That's no insult to the brand as if you have read my blog before you will know I'm a huge H&M fan, most of my wardrobe if I'm being honest. This coat will look great with black jeans or tailored trousers and simple top, let this piece do all the talking! Number 3 is a embellished clutch from River Island, who wouldn't want this piece for summer, so on trend you would be silly not to buy it! Number 4 is perfect if you are going on a trip this summer, the kaleidoscope print will stand out and reminds me of some of the Damien Hirst pieces that showed at his huge exhibit at the Tate Modern a few years ago, wow that was an exhibition! Finally number 5, how can you not love these wellies! If you are off to Glastonbury or are in fact there at the moment, I'm so jealous but have an amazing time, I know I did. These wellies also come in Rhino form, I did love these but the yellow ducks just stole my heart!

What are you top picks this Friday?

Wednesday Want . . .

This Wednesday I am craving this amazing backpack by Fleming London.

Available in four colours at the moment I just love it. Now of course I love my Cambridge Satchel Company bag, but this backpack is stunning. Elegant, classical and stylish all in one, I would love to have this!
Now Fleming London has only been going since Jan 2013 but already are being stocked by the likes of Wolf & Badger, pretty impressive!
The bags are also made in Britain from the best Italian leather so you are only getting the best from British design and Italian quality.
Definitely a serious Wednesday Want!!!
I want this so much!

Fleming London, if you read this ever though of making a yellow one?

Oh Roksanda . . .

My, my hasn't Roksanda Ilincic done it again!
If you haven't seen her Pre-Collection Spring/Summer 2015 you need to!
Here are my top four pieces from her latest incredible collection . . .

Look at those colours!
I just love this collection, its fun, vibrant and refreshingly modern. The wonderful choice of colours and the pebble like print really make all these designs pop. I love the cut and construction of each of these pieces and the glorious way in which they are so effortlessly worn. A stunning collection by a wonderful designer, if this is the pre-collection for spring/summer 15 I can not wait to see what the actual collection will look like.

Monday Madness . . .

Seeing as I did two posts yesterday and thought doing another, even if it was the Sunday Splurge, was a bit too much I decided to a Monday Madness piece and what's more fitting than this amazing piece . . .

How awesome is this earcuff from River Island???
Answer so awesome it's not even funny.
Are you going to a festival this summer, if you are you would be stupid not to get this and take it as your one bit of jewellery, the perfect way to make a statement and stand out for all the good reasons at a festival.
If I was lucky enough to be going to a festival this year I would definitely need this in my life.
I'm used to having feathers in my hair at festivals if your not up for that then this is the perfect solution!

Enjoy the festival season everyone!

Hello my name is Paul Smith!

So yesterday I went to check out the Hello my name is Paul Smith exhibit at the Design Museum in London, and lo and behold but I met the man himself! I was so excited even shook his hand, he was so kind, friendly and welcoming. I may have immediately texted my mum saying I JUST MET PAUL SMITH!
It was just so nice as it was out of the blue I went from the main corridor of the exhibition and into a re-creation of his studio and there he was just chatting to people and taking some pictures with his team.

All kinds of things were on display at the exhibition, from a ceiling covered in rails of patterns, makes me think of uni, to a mini cooper that had been Paul Smithed so to speak. Have a look for yourself below. . .

Walls of pictures and paintings that the designer has collected over the years covered the main corridor, a model of his 'first shop' was also in this room. I used ' ' as the room was so small only a few people could stand in it.

A wall covered with buttons wowed you before you went on to see some of Paul Smith's garments lined up along both sides of another corridor.

I loved all of the garments that were on show and felt like I wanted to take them all home to my wardrobe, but alas of course I could not but here are a few pics of my favourite pieces.

This wonderful women's silk embroidered Jacket is so beautiful this photo doesn't do it justice. I definitely wanted to put it on right then and there.

Now this men's, yes menswear jacket took my fancy too, just look at the workmanship that has gone into it. The silk embroidered sequin jacket is just incredible and while I can't see my boyfriend in it I would love to have it!

Finally this wonderful tailored grey jacket, again for men but I love the elegant, smart black edging on this piece it just elevates this jackets design and shows off all its wonderful features.

There was also a few re-creations of the designers studio and office, the office can be seen below, but they both looked like something I would have, lots of interesting things all mixed together, somehow working together and not looking like a huge mess. I could have happily settled into it and started working.

If you haven't seen the exhibition see it before it closes on 22nd of June click here to find out the details from the site.

A wonderful man and a wonderful exhibition!

Ascot . . .

Now I have been going to Ascot races for years, though not in the way I'm sure your thinking. While still at school and during University I used to work every year at Royal Ascot. So I have seen the best and worst outfits in my time there so seeing as it is in the next few weeks I thought I would share what I have learnt with you, of course style the pieces as you would style them yourself but this will be a rough guide to appropriate dressing for the event.

Dresses are a go to for this event, try to avoid prom dresses or tacky super short body con dresses. Instead go for a more conservative look, don't worry I don't mean dress older than you are or cover up entirely I just mean be a bit more respectable in your appearance as it is what has been expected for this prestigious event. I also don't mean you have to dress in a way that is all void of personality, have a look at the great dresses below that would be perfect for this event.

Maxi dresses yes but more formal ones, no holiday showing too much flesh ones please, you wont look good and you will be standing out for the wrong reasons. A few appropriate maxis to give you an idea of what is acceptable can be seen below. These dresses from Mango are stunning, and will be a great summer buy for your wardrobe! Suitable for other more formal occasions for example a summer wedding, christening, e.c.t. I can guarantee you will be wearing this dress again.

Onto cami dresses now, this is a possibility for some girls, there are some great more elegant and feminine pieces around for you to choose from but here are my top three. Two bright numbers from H&M and a great white lace cami from Zara. Good for girls who are smaller on top and you can get away with strapless or a bra with very thin straps, girls who are bigger up top maybe keep away from the cami's, I'm included in this myself.

Remember ladies fascinators are a go too, remember you must have one!
I'm sure you will all look stunning and have a wonderful time, Ascot does have a great atmosphere and even though I was working I always had a good time.

Enjoy!

Sunday Splurge

This week I have found a perfect Sunday Splurge for you to feast your eyes on!
Have a look at this beauty . . .

Recently while perusing Instagram I spotted this wonderful jewellery brand called V Jewellery, who make the most exquisite pieces. I am rather partial to a vintage inspired ring and it is safe to say I am in love with this Art Deco inspired Emerald ring!
Now while it is not made from diamonds it is still the most wonderful piece and I would love to add it to my collection. V Jewellery are a wonderful company and well worth a look if you like wonderful stunning jewellery, click here to have a look at all their pieces.

Do you love this ring as much as me?
What is your Sunday Splurge?

Iridescent Fashion

Has anyone else noticed that this Summer trends seem to have something iridescent about them?
Now this iridescent trend is a nice mix of metallics, sheer, and white pieces, layered in interesting ways to give almost a ethereal futuristic feel.
There are some great pieces around online and in stores at the moment so this time I'll leave you to search yourself and show you instead a girly chic way to wear this hot summer trend. . .

For Individual Prices Click Here
Now this look is made up of an interesting white dress with a fishnet hem, a statement oversized silver coat, clutch, shimmering platforms and some jewels to finish of this look. Well the best way to shine is with diamonds! Of course this look is not suitable for work, it is more appropriate for a date night or evening out with the girls or your partner. I would wear this for evening drinks, I don't think I would trust myself with a white dress and dinner, accident waiting to happen. How will you be wearing this trend?

Why not shimmer this summer!
Remember it will highlight and show off your tan!

Cuff it up . . .

Yet another jewellery trend for you this week, this time it is the tern of the cuff bracelet.
A great trend for summer as with no jumpers you have plenty of arm to cuff up.

I'm very lucky as my mum had a silver cuff made for me when she went travelling in Turkey, so I don't need to buy a cuff to rock this trend but there is a great selection around at the moment.
Check these beauties out . . .

My favourite would have to be one of the simpler designed cuffs like the silver one which is fourth from the left on the third row. I know its simple but I love the hammered metal effect it has. Of course some of the other pieces are awesome as you can see!

So what's stopping you from cuffing up this summer?

Which is your favourite?

Green with Envy . . .

Personally I love a bit of green so I am thrilled that green is very much back in.
This trend as usual is what you make of it, either wear it all over or just add a splash through your trousers or a top, even through accessories or footwear.
I've been wearing green on my eyes in a great green pencil eye liner.

These are some great green pieces around at the moment, I love the playsuit best with the cheeky V but sadly I think I have too much boob to pull this off without looking a) ridiculous or b) slutty, not good either way but what a great piece!

Are you green with envy?

Bling it!

Time for a trend update, this time it is all about jewellery and in particular statement necklaces are very much having a moment again.
Now I have saved you searching around for the best pieces from Topshop, H&M and asos. Feast your eyes on the treats below . . .

For Individual Prices Click Here
Starting with Topshop's finest, as you can see they have gone down a more floral path with their statement necklaces. This trend is about heavy embellishment so there are some great pieces. My favourite would have to be the green necklace in the centre, the three tiers make it look uber glam but acceptable to wear during the day and to wow at night.

For Individual Prices Click Here
Next we have H&M's selection, now they have gone down the gold lane. I think the feathers is a nice touch for summer, think about how good they will look blowing in the summer breeze. I also think the black pearl number is great for adding a bit of retro glamour into your workwear.

Finally Asos. Now I believe there are some New Look and River Island pieces in here too but how great is this selection, there really is something for everyone! The Blair Wardof's have the pearl number and the Serena's have the tasselled number. My personal favourite in this selection is the tasselled necklace in the top row and the blue necklace in the middle of the same row. Perfect for both day and nightwear. I think these may be on my wishlist.

Which is your favourite?

ASHISH X TOPSHOP

Yes this awesome collaboration has officially gone on sale!!! I love the towels in this collection, totally would be buying up one for a beach holiday, if I was going on one.
Anyway here is my top four from this collection . . .

Starting with the white t-shirt to the left, I just love this it reminds me of the t-shirt I got at my university freshers where of course you write a lot of rubbish about yourself. In my first year I have to admit I like the top so much I didn't write on it, I did in my second year when I helped talk the freshers out on their pub and club crawl. Anyway this is awesome whether you write on it or not. Then we have this oversized mesh t-shirt which works well with the oversized sports top trend. I like that there is a cross to censor and give the wearer a bit of privacy, though I wouldn't be so brave to wear this without the top underneath. Then one of the awesome accessories that make up this collection this see-through PVC backpack with light up LED lights. I love that the shoes have this detailing in too. This is modern, cool and very awesome, wishlist I think so! Finally we have another slogan t-shirt this time I love this as it seems like something us bloggers would wear to an event, well it would make it easier at an event to tweet someone or instagram them. I just love this top for its joke about modern culture and that its all about who is following who.
A brilliant collection from an awesome designer!

Which is your favourite piece?
