Faux Fur Friends . . .

So this season it has all been about the Faux Fur Coat, you can't deny you haven't though about curling up in one, having one to keep you warm and cosy on those cold windy nights!
Dare I say that I have given in! I have added this wonderful green Samsoe & Samsoe number to my life this Christmas and it was so worth it!

Samsoe & Samsoe
Now Samsoe & Samsoe are a Danish brand based in Copenhagen, they are starting to make a big name for themselves over here with their classic, and elegant scandanavian designs. I have to admit I also bought a beautful coat from them in a sample sale resently and I have to say it was the best coat I have bought in a long time, anyway I will save that story for another blog post!

Getting back to my point (sorry for the tangent) it is the perfect time to invest in a faux fur piece for your wardrobe! Especially as I have seen a number of fabulous pieces in the winter sales. I have put my top 10 pics together for you below, hope you like them as much as I do . . .

Number 1 -  Dorothy Perkins
Number 2 - Biba (House of Fraser)
Number 3 - Nobodys Child
Number 4 - Shrimps
Number 5 - Maison Scotch
Number 6 - Mango
Number 7 - Samsoe & Samsoe
Number 8 - Topshop
Number 9 - NYDJ
Number 10 - Unreal Fur (Topshop)
Ironically this image was also saved on my computer as 101 (don't tell Cruella Deville)
All of these fabulous jackets are currently on sale so if you see something you like make sure you get it before it's too late!

Please follow the links above to see the sale prices and product information. It's so hard to choose my favourite, though I'm sure my bank balance might direct me to the cheeper options. Number 3 is from a new brand I have found called Nobodys Child take a look at their site they have some great pieces and at very good prices you will be amazed, defineity worth a lunch time browse.

The Unreal Fur from Topshop monochrome jacket is also a good find. There are lots of monochrome style faux fur jackets available at the moment but I haven't seen one like this before. I like the flattering black panels on the sides this is a good piece to invest in.

Of course there is a Shrimps coat featured because it wouldn't be right not to include it and this jacket is in the sale so if you have been dreaming of one have a look at their website there are some good discounts available.

Maison Scotch contrast coat is also very popular too, this coat has featured in many magazine and even on the likes of Elle Online! So snap it up before it's too late, I certainly will.

Anyway I hope I have inspired some of you to find some great bargains that are available at the moment. Which is your favourite?

This Year . . .

Alas it has been a very long time since I last posted, for which I am sorry.
Seeing as it is the start of a New Year I have been thinking about resolutions and things I want to improve on over the course of this new year. Now I have never been one for New Years resolutions in the past but for once I believe that I want to make some serious changes this year and I'm determined to stick to them.

Number 1, I want to make and find more time to blog this year and share some of my findings and adventures.

Number 2, I want to remember that although I love my job I need to remember to have a life outside of work, I'm sure there are many people in the same boat as me, in their first job, working hard, giving their all to show people what they are made of in the hope that people will notice. While trying to do this it is really hard to remember to have a life outside of work, you get into a rhythm sleep, commute, work, commute and sleep, you forget to make time for friends and even family. I say forget, you never forget but you are so exhausted that all you want to do at the end of the day by the time you get home is to relax for those few hours before bed.

Number 3, be selfish. I always try and do my best for other people and ware myself out trying to do things with everybody. This year I'm going to be selfish and try to have a me day every once in a while where I do something I want without thinking of anybody else's feelings. Naughty I know but we all deserve to do what we want every once in a while. Maybe a day trip, or a spa day, maybe even just curling up with a book or an old film.

Number 4, make sure all the people in my life know I appriciate them. As my mother says sometimes I can be a closed book, this year I want to be more open with the pleople closest to me. Trust me it's the one thing I learnt last year it is bad to keep things inside and stress yourself about them it can affect your health, leant that the hard way.

Now enough of me waffling on! I just want to wish you all a wonderful New Year, and say a big thank you to all of you who read my blog. Has anyone else got any New Year resolutions?
