Firstly just want to say sorry for the lack of posts recently, now onto main event!

Boy do I have a good one for you, I had completely forgotten about this 90's trend until I recently spotted someone wearing something similar. This week I am talking about . . .

The bubble bag, yes this trend we all kind of wish we had forgotten, yet kinda wish we still had one of these bags just for shits and giggles.

Now I cannot honestly remember why these became popular but I can remember wanting one and having one. I had a rather cool silver one and used to take it everywhere. Although I want to say I stopped wearing and using it because it popped, it didn't I think I just outgrew it.

Funnily enough these bags are still available on etsy so if you want to try and bring back this trend there are quite a few colours.

I'm rather partial to this one after a yellow version of course.

TBT - Trends

Yes it is TBT time again, this week I have one for the other 90's kids out there!

Ta-da!

Now I can remember chokers of any kind being the 'thing' of the 90's, with every girl wearing one kind or another. The tattoo choker remained the coolest though, black started out as the 'it' colour with both Goths, and girly girls all wearing it, then other colours came out and even some with beads. I can remember I had a black set with tiny yellow, green and red beads on, I can remember it so clearly it's sad really. I remember wearing the necklaces all the time even wearing a few at a time. Now remember you could get these as necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and rings, actually you still can as it seems they are creeping back on the scene. The colourful ones in the picture above are actually currently from Topshop and the black ones are from good old Claire's Accessories, isn't that a blast from the past!

Celebrities like Willow Smith and Katy Perry have sported them recently so it might be time to find your tattoo chokers at the bottom of your jewellery box and put them on. The flashier the better, pile them on like it was the 90's!

TBT Fashion Trends

Yes it is time for another TBT moment and for this week we have . . .

the infamous 'bumster' trousers by Alexander McQueen. These trousers were from his Spring / Summer 1996 collection, named 'Dante'. It was this piece that sparked off the low rise trouser trend, that went on to last for 6 years, yes really six years!. So really we have McQueen to blame for the boys who like to wear they trousers so low you kinda have to fight the urge not to run and pull them down or up, think Miranda Hart and the pulling up the boys trousers episode. See below . . .

TBT Fashion Trends

So welcome to a new alternate Thursday feature, #TBT Fashion Trends. I'd been thinking about Throw Back Thursday and how I normally post old pictures or things I find that make me feel nostalgic on my personal instagram account and it dawned on me . . . I should do #TBT every two weeks on my blog. Each entry filled with one of those fashion trends we wished we could forget, or famous celebrity moments where they got it really wrong. Lets just say it may have the cringe factor, only if you remember wearing them.

Ok and to start us of we have ..... 

U.F.O Trousers!!

Yes I will have to admit I did wear these when I was younger and they somehow became trendy. I had a black pair so not too in your face, but I can remember my friends having them in blues, pinks, and reds. Why are parents let us go out in them I will never know. Today they are still worn by street dancers and various other more modern dance groups. I remember how much I used to love them, don't know why in hindsight. The were just so impracticable I got the tassels stuck in doors, caught on other bits of clothing or shoes, and once even managed to tangle myself up and get caught unknowingly on the cutlery draw while sitting on the kitchen counter, needless to say when I jumped down and took the draw with me I though twice about wearing them again. Saying that I wore them so much that I did wear them out eventually and had to throw them away. They were a go to garment for the school dances at the time, worryingly.
