D&G Couture

The Perfect location a Milanese Penthouse was the location of Dolce & Gabanna's fourth Couture show. Unlike other brand and designer shows only a handful of people are invited to their show, with no seating chart or assigned front seats it is a honour just to be invited to this intimate show.
Every Alta Moda piece is unique, as couture they only ever make one, this causes a frenzy as soon as the last model walks off the catwalk. In a room filled with flowers its no surprise that the garments featured floral details in all shapes and sizes. The designers goal this collection was to create works of art that made the women wearing them transform into something from a painting. The designers were in fact inspired by the great painters Renoir, Van Gogh and Manet, with aspects from some of their most famous paintings poping up in the dresses designs.
With luxurious materials such as tulle, silk, crystal embellishment and buttons, I'm sure they were on most peoples shopping list.
My two favourite dresses out of the 65 in the collection can be seen below.

Stunning! If only I had an occasion or the money to buy one!
