Sunday Splurge

Hello, hasn't it just been the most glorious day of sunshine!!!  I spent my day in the sun reading so apologies for not writing sooner today, BUT boy have a found a Sunday splurge for you this week. . .

 How amazing are these boots!!!!!

 Fun, quirky and unusual are words that spring to mind. I stumbled upon these wonderful boots of the site Wolf&Badger which I'm sure you have probably heard of, but if not check it out! I love the design of these chunky heeled boots, the toe cap detail matched with gold zip detail and topped off with gold toggles. The toggles give this boot a more sporty feel, and reminds me off the kind of toggles that you used to get on 90's sportswear I'm thinking elasticated sporty spice pieces. The colour way is also amazing it clashes but it also strangely compliments one another, bold and out there what more could you want for your footwear!

These boots are very unusual so you won't see many people in them, think of these shoes as an investment piece, think colour blocking trends, think 80s revival, colour clash. e.c.t there are so many trends these boots could slot into. The only thing holding me back is the price tag at £450.00 that's a bit out of an unpaid interns price range, but definitely worth my Sunday splurge title!

The designer Cleo Barbour is based in London and designs footwear that is both trendsetting and imaginative. It says about the designers on the blurb on Wolf&Badger that she is inspired 'by a wide variety of topics such as art fairs, architecture and 80's hip hop' that last one definitely true of the boots above I'm also thinking 80 funk maybe in there too. I think I will be keeping my eye on this designer.
