Zuhair Murad . . .

For those feisty women out there, there is designer Zuhair Murad. His recent collection a mixture of sharp tailoring, tight revealing dresses, floor length gowns with revealing panels, lace and knitwear had everything covered.
I found it difficult to even pick my favourites as this collection was just rich with detail and design. Starting from the more everyday pieces from the collection, and moving on to stunning gowns.

This collection had a few jumpsuits with interesting woven and almost imitation corsetry details on, exaggerated shoulders adding to the powerful women theme that seems to come from this collection. Sharp tailored jackets paired with tight sequinned trousers to add an edgy twist to your day, you'll definitely make a statement in this look. Next a combination of trends have been paired up to make this beautiful creation, the tuxedo inspired dress and the cape, both we have seen a lot of this fashion week all in different shapes and forms but all build in the same formula. This is one of my personal favourites in the collection, sharp, serious and elegant with the addition of lace at the bottom. The fourth look is relatively simple in comparison to the rest of the collection, but saying that it is extremely wearable and still retains something different with the yarn inspired lines on the bat wing cut jumper, the detail is striking especially done in the black and white, and styled with white trousers.

Moving on to more evening or party pieces. The first dress folk inspired with its loose fit, but nicely constructed from a beautiful lace. The sleeves falling gently down the models arms are very beautiful. The outfit is pulled in by a chunky statement leather belt which almost adds a gladiator feel to this look. The lace in some places embellished really takes this dress from day wear to nightwear. The next look an almost Versace inspired jacket again pulled in at the waist with the same statement belt as mentioned before is made more eye catching by the heavily embellished designs and details at the bottom of the jacket. The lines and potentially floral embellishment designs in black on the white jacket again creates a beautiful contrast and really makes it pop from the jacket base. The third look a mini dress, with long sleeves with the most extraordinary print, stitch, embellished and embroidered design. This time a range of blues on a base of white, with sequin details in a variety of blue tones creating and adding depth to the designs. This very intricate piece is incredible, almost looks like a feather or an insect has inspired this print design.

Moving on to the show stopping gowns. Stunning revealing dresses made from knit to create spider web like effects all over the models body and in some cases only just conserving the models modesty. The floor length white coat like dress is another interesting piece with side panels on the bodice with again intricate stitch lines creates an interesting panel detail, sharp and fierce definitely for a strong woman. The middle dress again has beautiful line and cluster details in a feisty red, this is an amazing dress, I can see many famous females in this LRD, remember lady in red will be a big trend in Autumn /Winter. The next dress has the most stunning back with embellishment seeming to drape from the shoulders and fall down the back in another interesting web like design, finished with a back slit this is a very glamorous dress. The last dress is elegant, sleek and stylish and looks incredible on the model. Again a web / ladder technique has been used to create all the intricate detail that covers this dress. A show stopper, in every right, nice also that instead of leaving it unlined and revealing the designer chose to back it in a nude fabric which I think really makes it classy and elegant.

I can see a lot of famous names jumping at the chance to wear one of these designs.
A wonderful collection with outfits that suit all kinds of women from two pieces to dresses for the working girl, party girl, bodycon girl, tom boy, girly girl, prom queen, exotic bird, glamazon and risk taker there really is something for everyone's tastes.

What is your favourite?
