What can I say about this women, apart from inspirational, she started a social movement with her clothes, and yes I am talking about the Punk movement of the 1970's. The ever-outspoken designer has been inspiring decades of designers, including myself. I just think she is fabulous from the statement bright orange hair, pale completion, drawn on eyebrows, lipstick and distinct eye lines.
Vivienne Westwood, now Dame Vivienne Westwood, is all that is associated with British eccentricity. Her cutting edge fashion designs made in her own re-constructive style inspired by classical construction techniques, setting her apart from other renowned designers. Her collections inspiration ranges from classical fiction novels, protest fashion (yes she's still protesting even now) and from her general interests. Known to make a statement and to be controversial she is always trying to shock.
In 2011 she was voted and then named by us Brits 'Britain's Greatest British Fashion Designer' so she must be doing something right!
Dame Westwood is linked to many organisations as well showing her vast interests with social and cultural issues in Britain and in other countries.
With her unconventional style she remains to me a true fashion inspiration.
